Colossale Siteworks Announces Site and Infrastructure Projects across Connecticut

Connecticut River Ferry improvements in progress

Berlin, CT – Colossale Siteworks announced it is advancing a series of site and infrastructure projects across Connecticut.

Currently underway, the Connecticut River Ferry Improvements project focuses on upgrades to the historic Rocky Hill–Glastonbury Ferry landings, updating critical infrastructure along one of the region’s most distinctive transportation routes. The work is designed to improve reliability, strengthen shoreline resilience, and support continued ferry operations for both daily users and seasonal traffic.

Operating along an active waterway presents unique challenges: tight work windows, environmental constraints, and logistics that demand careful coordination. Colossale’s team is managing sitework, earthwork, and infrastructure improvements with a disciplined approach that prioritizes safety, sequencing, and long-term performance.

The completed Burlington Road project

In Farmington, the firm recently completed roadway and site improvements along Burlington Road, delivering full-depth reconstruction and drainage upgrades to address existing deficiencies and support future use. The project required maintaining access and minimizing disruption while keeping progress consistent—an effort supported through proactive planning and clear communication with stakeholders.

“We take pride in delivering work that communities depend on every day,” said Vice President Michael Colossale. “Each project comes with its own set of challenges, but the expectation is always the same: Perform, adapt, and deliver a result that holds up over time.”
