Citizens~Union First Major Sponsor For Stang Expansion

Fall River, MA…Citizens~Union Savings Bank was the first major corporate sponsor for the Bishop Stang High School’s expansion campaign.

Fall River, MA…Citizens~Union Savings Bank was the first major corporate sponsor for the Bishop Stang High School’s expansion campaign. The school has set a $6 million goal toward their expansion project; presently fundraising stands at $3.5 million. Citizens~Union Savings Bank led the way with a pledge for $125,000 to aid the school in its efforts. A five-floor building that formerly served as a convent for the Diocese of Fall River and stands adjacent to the high school will be renovated and will serve as the school’s academic resource center.

The new 22,000sf facility will provide Bishop Stang High School with 22% additional space.

Some of the Citizens~Union team who graduated from Bishop Stang High School visited the construction site and met with some of the school’s current students.

Included were: Bishop Stang president Theresa E. Dougall; Conor Gay, president of the Junior class; Lorenzo Dube, president of the Freshman Class; Sarina Pointe, president of the Sophomore class; Corey Krajewski, president of the Senior Class and student council president Grace Carroll.

Bishop Stang graduates included Roland Dumas who works in Citizens-Union’s maintenance department; Ana Vasconcelos from the accounting department, and Stephen and Patrick Long from Citizens~Union affiliate Partners Insurance.
