CFMA of Massachusetts Awards Annual Scholarships

Wayland, MA – Since the late 1980s, the local CFMA chapter has annually awarded scholarships to students who are pursuing careers in the fields of accounting, finance, engineering, architecture, construction, or project management. The program is primarily funded from the proceeds of the annual golf tournament, being held this year on September 22 at the Sandy Burr Country Club in Wayland.

At this May’s meeting, scholarship chairman Greg Natatlucci presented six awards:

Brian Fanning, currently enrolled at Boston College pursuing a BS in accounting/finance. During his time at BC he interned with Reilly Electric.

Elizabeth Gilbert, currently at the University of Notre Dame pursuing a degree in environmental engineering with a focus on sustainability and green technology.

John Driscoll, a student at Belmont Hill School pursuing a degree in finance/business at Georgetown University.

Jennifer Mague, currently a senior at Marlborough High School who will be attending WPI in Worcester, where she will enter the civil/environmental engineering program.

Meghan Flynn, at St. Thomas Aquinas High School, in Dover, N.H., who also will be attending WPI in the fall, pursuing a degree in engineering and computer science.

Kyle Flannery, a student at UConn pursuing a degree in finance and business. He has served a number of internships in the accounting department of Bond Brothers.
