Canfield Named GBREB Board Chairman

Boston – James A. Canfield has been named the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board (GBREB).

Boston – James A. Canfield has been named the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board (GBREB). Canfield is executive vice president and principal of McCall & Almy, a Boston-based commercial real estate brokerage and advisory firm. He is the third principal of the firm to serve in this role, following in the footsteps of Bill McCall and Lenny Owens.

As a member of GBREB since 1992, Canfield has served as chair of the finance committee, clerk, assistant treasurer, treasurer and chair elect before assuming the position of Chairman in January 2011. Under his leadership, GBREB will continue its mission of education, networking and advocacy.

Having joined McCall & Almy in 1990, Canfield focuses on advising healthcare, education, non-profit and institutional clients on real estate strategy and implementation. He has been a member of the Executive Committee of The Business Associates Club for five years and served as president of the organization in 2005-2006.

Canfield is a multiple platinum member of the Multi-Million Dollar Club of the Commercial Brokers Association and in 2002 he was named a Top Five Office Broker by the Greater Boston Real Estate Board.
