Cambridge, MA – The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design announced that KlingStubbins’ design of the Autodesk AEC Headquarters in Waltham was a recipient of a 2010 Green GOOD DESIGN Award.

Designed by KlingStubbins and constructed by Tocci Building Corporation, Autodesk’s Waltham facility was an interior retrofit project of an existing 61,000sf speculative office building that earned 46 LEED credit points, exceeding the 42-credit level required for Platinum rating. To earn LEED Platinum status, project stakeholders implemented sustainable design, digital design-to-fabrication, and integrated project delivery (IPD) as part of an overall building information modeling (BIM) process.

The project’s successful execution and innovative design resulted in a Best of Year Award from Interior Design Magazine in its “Eco” category, a BIM Award Citation from the American Institute of Architects, and a Good Design is Good Business Award from BusinessWeek and Architectural Record, among others.
