Tim Reagen

Boston – Amenta Emma Architects announced it recently welcomed Tim Reagen, AIA as senior project architect in the Boston office.

With an extensive background in housing affordability and urban development, Reagen brings over 12 years of experience to the firm. Representatives of Amenta Emma say his passion for housing affordability in urban projects has resulted in the creation of over 2,300 new homes across Boston and Cambridge, and that his work spans commercial, multi-family, and mixed-use projects, showcasing his versatility and expertise in all project phases from concept design through construction administration. Representatives add that Reagen’s commitment to sustainable practices aligns seamlessly with Amenta Emma’s dedication to environmental responsibility.

Throughout his career, Reagen has lent his passion for creating more accessible and affordable housing options, and promoting diversity in the architecture, construction, and engineering fields to volunteer work with Abundant Housing Massachusetts and the ACE Mentorship Program.

Joy Ortiz-Colón

Amenta Emma also announced that team member Joy Ortiz-Colón completed the Architectural Registration Examination and will be a licensed architect in the state of Connecticut.

Ortiz-Colón joined the firm in March, bringing with her over seven years of technical design and documentation experience and a special focus on K-12, higher education, and civic projects. She is currently working on a project for Smith College in Northampton, Mass. and on Andrus on Hudson in Hastings-On-Hudson, N.Y. Within the firm, she is a member of the Amenta Emma JEDI team. The company’s representatives say that her collaborative spirit and forward-thinking approach make her an invaluable asset to the firm.
