Acentech Welcomes New Consulting and Professional Staff

Cambridge, Mass –  Acentech Inc. recently announced new additions to its architectural acoustics group and business operations staff. Robert Connick joins the firm as a consultant in architectural acoustics, and Heather Skarvan assumes the role of staff accountant.

Robert Connick ~ Consultant in Architectural Acoustics

Robert Connick joins Acentech as a consultant in the architectural acoustics group. In this role, Robert will provide acoustical consulting services for a variety of clients in the higher education, K-12, commercial, healthcare, and performing arts markets. Robert is a 2013 graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he received his Master of Science in architectural sciences/architectural acoustics. Robert’s thesis on the characterization of transmission loss in nanomaterial aerogels earned him the prestigious Robert Bradford Newman Student Medal. The honor is bestowed annually to one student worldwide for excellence in research in the field of architectural acoustics. A student member of the Acoustical Society of America, Robert earned dual-Bachelor of Science degrees in physics and humanities/arts with a music concentration from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

 

Heather Skarvan ~ Staff Accountant

Acentech’s most recent addition to its business operations team is Heather Skarvan, who assumes the role of staff accountant. Drawing upon a strong background of general office and financial administration, Heather’s daily responsibilities include tracking invoices and expenses, managing vendor records, and interfacing with clients to ensure accurate and responsible billing procedures. Heather joins Acentech from Altran Solutions Corporation, where she was employed as the corporate services coordinator. Heather is a magna cum laude graduate of Providence College, where she received a Bachelor of Science in biology.
