Boston – The Boston Society of Architects/AIA (BSA) recently announced the winners of the 2016 BSA Design Awards.
Abacus Architects + Planners received a citation in Accessible Design – Public Architecture for The Peter Bulkeley Terrace Senior Housing and Community Center in Concord.

The jury commented that this affordable senior housing project is conventional but well done. In addition to a very handsome entrance with traditional stairs and a well-integrated ramp, there are accessible parking spaces and a recessed patio with terraced green space. French doors and benches provide intuitive way finding and places to rest for the frail.
