Shrewsbury, MA – JACA Architects recently announced the recent opening of one of its major design projects, the Surgery Center at Shrewsbury.
The firm was selected by UMass Memorial Health Care of Worcester and Shields Health Care Group of Quincy in October of 2016 to design the approximately 40,000sf new ambulatory surgery center located at 151 Main Street in Shrewsbury.
The distinct outpatient surgery center focuses on sports medicine, hand surgery, and other surgical specialties. The $31 million, state-of-the-art facility features the latest advances in technology, nine operating rooms, a waiting area, 32 curtained bays for patient preparation and recovery, multiple nursing stations, and separate check-in and check-out areas.

The stand-alone ambulatory surgery center is owned and operated by UMass Memorial Health Care, Reliant Medical Group and Shields Health Care Group, under the name Healthcare Enterprises LLC.
