2011 BOMA Benefit Raises Over $85,000 for Local Housing Charities

Boston, MA – Over 350 commercial building owners, managers and service providers who are part of the Building Owners and Managers Association of Boston (BOMA Boston) came together, recently, for a great cause—to raise money for housing and homelessness charities and education in the Greater Boston area.

The annual BOMA Benefit raised over $85,000 for local organizations, including City Year Boston, Heading Home, My Brother’s Keeper, Massachusetts Hospital School Foundation and South Shore Habitat for Humanity.

BOMA Boston members represent over 150 million square feet of real estate in the area, and part of the mission of the group is to give back to the community. Aside from charitable efforts, BOMA Boston members are also leading the way in sustainable building operations.

BOMA Boston will be an active participant in Earth Hour on March 26, and our members will also be part of Mayor Menino’s Lights Out Boston program.
