Zarta Gier promoted to Associate Principal

Bedford, NH – GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. recently announced that Deborah M. Zarta Gier of Nottingham, New Hampshire has been promoted to Associate Principal in the Bedford office.

Zarta Gier, with GZA for more than six years, has worked as an environmental professional since 1993 with specific skills in natural resources management and planning.  Her areas of specialization include large scale data collection and management, construction compliance monitoring, stormwater planning and management, surface and groundwater hydrology, regulatory implementation and compliance and environmental site assessment.

A graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resources, Zarta Gier is a Certified Natural Resources Manager, a Certified Mediator, and is OSHA certified in Hazardous Waste Operations.

Zarta Gier is a member of the American Institute of Hydrology, the American Water Resources Association, Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry and New Hampshire Association of Natural Resources Scientists.

 

Originally from Gilmanton, New Hampshire, she now lives in Nottingham, with her husband and two sons.  Zarta Gier represents the Town of Nottingham on the Southeast Watershed Alliance.    In her spare time she volunteers with the Nottingham Sports Youth Association and Nottingham School and is also a Stream and Lake Sampling Volunteer covering the North River and Pawtuckaway Lake.
