WinnCompanies Welcomes Two

Boston – WinnCompanies recently announced that Bryan Hunt has been hired as Chief Financial Officer for WinnResidential, the property management arm of WinnCompanies, and Alessandra de Vaca has been hired as Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Training.

Boston – WinnCompanies recently announced that Bryan Hunt has been hired as Chief Financial Officer for WinnResidential, the property management arm of WinnCompanies, and Alessandra de Vaca has been hired as Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Training.

As Chief Financial Officer, Hunt will report directly to WinnResidential President and Chief Operating Officer, William Wollinger. He will also work closely with the WinnCompanies Board of Directors to develop business strategies that support the overall mission, goals and objectives of the company. In addition, Hunt will be responsible for the management and control of accounting, technology, purchasing, asset and risk management functions, business systems and finance related functions.

Hunt joined WinnResidential after serving as the Chief Accounting Officer for Essex Property Trust, Inc., a California-based real estate investment trust, for eight years. While at Essex, he was responsible for the company’s accounting, reporting, budgeting/forecasting and treasury related activities. Prior to Essex, Hunt also held management positions for more than 10 years at public accounting firms, including Hemming Morse, Arthur Andersen, KPMG and Deloitte & Touche.

Hunt graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles with a bachelor’s degree in economics. In addition, he is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

As Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Training, de Vaca will be responsible for the management of all aspects of Human Resources and Training, including payroll, employee relations, compensation and benefits, recruiting and retention, as well as performance management, for approximately 3,000 Winn employees across 24 states. She will set short and long-term goals and provide strategic direction, as well as meaningful measurements and benchmarks for all employee related activities, such as tenure, census, training metrics and recruiting plans. De Vaca will also communicate regularly with the WinnCompanies team of executive management.

De Vaca starts her career at WinnCompanies with 26 years of professional experience in employee relations. She most recently served as Chief Administrative Officer for Hebrew Senior Life, where she oversaw the company double in size during her 11 year tenure. Before that, de Vaca held positions at Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital, the New England Shrimp Company, MASCO, Ziff-Davis, Inc. and Neighborhood Health Plan.

De Vaca graduated from Tufts University with a bachelor of arts degree. She is multi-lingual, holding fluency in Italian and Spanish in addition to English.
