WinnCompanies Leadership Transitions

Boston  – WinnCompanies announced that Deirdre Kuring and Patrick Appleby will assume the roles of Chief Operating Officers (COO) for WinnResidential and WinnMilitary, respectively. These promotions follow the recent hiring of Chief Financial Officer Bryan Hunt.

As COO of WinnResidential,  Kuring will be responsible for overseeing operations of the multi-family portfolio totaling 50,000 homes in 20 states, as well as human resources and training for employees of WinnCompanies. She most recently served as WinnResidential’s chief administration officer.

Prior to joining the firm in February 2011, Kuring spent 10 years with BRE Properties, Inc., where she served as executive vice president. A certified property manager, she served for seven years at Seattle University  as a dean’s advisory board member for the Albers School of Business.

Patrick Appleby will remain based in Nashville, Tenn. as COO of WinnMilitary. He was most recently the executive vice president of WinnMilitary.

Since 1999, he has been part of the team responsible for all activities related to WinnResidential’s initiatives involving the privatization of military housing for the U.S. Department of Defense.

Prior to joining the firm, Appleby was a principal at Boston Financial/Lend Lease Residential, where he was responsible for a diverse portfolio of more than 6,000 apartments.
