Megan Kane is job captain at DJSA Architecture PC in Raynham, a full-service firm providing innovative design strategies and services with a focus on hospitality and restaurants.

Megan didn’t initially plan on a career in architecture. She briefly considered other options, but discovered how much she loved figuring out how things went together and came apart.

She would spend time looking at buildings and really studying them. “I love old houses and old buildings. Every wall, and each building, has its own unique story to tell. There are so many that are forgotten, and architecture can help to give those voices back.”

She became intrigued by the challenge and excitement of designing buildings, which led her to enroll at Wentworth Institute, earning her Bachelor of Science in architecture, and then her Master of Architecture from Boston Architectural College.

She’s currently working toward her National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) licensure.

Megan’s work can be seen in such projects as the Pelham House Function Facility on Cape Cod and currently a new restaurant on the South Shore, which will include a unique bar/dining combination. She was involved in all phases from concept through construction administration.

Megan credits her parents with encouraging her to reach high and follow her dreams, which is what led her to her chosen career. And, call it an occupational hazard, but in her spare time Megan admits to spending many hours “renovating her home” with her husband.
