WHVACR to Award Record Number of Scholarships in 2020

Boston – Women in HVACR (WHVACR) plans to award a record number of scholarships in 2020. Building on the momentum from the WHVACR Annual Conference in Boston this past September, where seven recipients accepted their $2,000 scholarship awards, the WHVACR organization has decided to go even bigger in 2020 by awarding at least two more scholarships, for a total of nine.

WHVACR is now accepting applications for multiple $2,000 scholarships. Applications will be accepted through June 1. Scholarship winners will be selected July 1, and announced shortly after.

As the opportunities for women in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) positions continue to grow and expand, more women than ever before are enjoying positions as technicians, contractor owners, marketers, engineers, managers, dispatchers and others.

As part of its mission, WHVACR, an organization specifically serving women in the industry,  wants to encourage more to consider these trades as a career. It does so by providing scholarships to women in technical and/or trade school or those seeking a related degree at a college or university.
