WELL Project Announced for Hudson Yards Development

Stamford, CT – Point72 Asset Management, L.P. recently announced that their new offices at 55 Hudson Yards will become the first project in the Hudson Yards development pre-certified to meet the International WELL Building Standard (WELL). WELL is a new sustainable building standard that certifies a workplace that incorporates health and wellness into the design.

Point72 worked with A+I, the principal architect on the 55 Hudson Yards project, and M Moser, an architecture and design firm with a specialty in WELL consulting, to ensure the new office space implements design elements to maximize health, productivity, and comfort. WELL certification includes an assessment of the building’s clean air, clean water, healthy nutritional options, flexible office design, ergonomics, and acoustics.

WELL merges best practices in design and construction with evidence-based medical and scientific research. WELL certification is third party administered through the International Well Building Institute (IWBI) in collaboration with Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), which also administers the global green building program, LEED.
