Foxwoods Tanger grand opening
Foxwoods, CT – Foxwoods Resort Casino, the largest casino in North America, celebrated the grand opening of the Tanger Outlets at Foxwoods recently. The upscale outlets are projected to draw 3 million additional visitors to Foxwoods each year.
Standard Builders served as the construction manager for this 439,000sf mall, constructed over the course of 18 months, during which the Foxwoods’ casinos and hotels were fully operational. Ninety-five percent of the approximately 15-acre site required extensive improvements prior to construction.
Standard Builders blasted over 20 feet of rock on-site, resulting in 90,000 tons of crushed stone that was repurposed under the overpass. This is the first Tanger Outlet to be completely enclosed indoors.
Foxwoods Tanger
The mall adjoins the Fox Tower Casino and the Grand Pequot Casino, and is accessible only through these two internal entrances. The mall spans over a quarter mile and showcases 80 premier retail shops on three levels, including Brooks Brothers, Calvin Klein, Coach, and Nike.
