Fall River, MA – CEA Group has announced several additional tenants confirmed for SouthCoast Marketplace, a newly re-imagined open-air shopping center comprised of 350,000sf of retail space accented by tree-lined walkways, benches and a welcoming central plaza where visitors can gather and interact. The marketplace is anchored by Market Basket, T.J. Maxx, and Picture Show, a premium 11-screen movie theater, along with over 20 complementary retailers, services and restaurants, including Fall River’s first Starbucks.
The design by architects Prellwitz Chilinski Associates incorporates diverse materials and design motifs that create visual interest and reflect Fall River’s industrial heritage. The 30-acre property is conveniently located at the intersection of Route 24, Exit 1 and William S. Canning Blvd. (Route 81) in Fall River, making it easily accessible to the entire South Coast region of Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Kappy’s Fine Wine & Spirits, Verizon, Jersey Mike’s, Aspen Dental, Metro PCS, Jackson Hewitt and Venus Nails & Spa have all secured leases and will be joining Market Basket, T.J. Maxx, Picture Show’s 11-screen movie theater, Five Below, Ulta, 110 Grill, Qdoba, Petsmart, Eblens, Staples, Santander Bank, One Dollar Zone, and Starbucks.
The announcement of new retailers follows successful grand openings earlier this month of two prominent SouthCoast Marketplace anchor tenants, Market Basket and T.J. Maxx.
“It is truly gratifying to see our vision for SouthCoast Marketplace come to life. The opening of our anchor retailers has been accompanied by large crowds and great enthusiasm. Great new retailers and restaurants will be opening over the next few months. The additional tenants announced today will further expand the shopping options available to local residents,” said Steven Cohen, president of CEA Group. “Upon completion, SouthCoast Marketplace will provide the region with an easily accessible marketplace offering high quality shopping, dining, services and entertainment. It will transform the retail profile of the region. In addition to its exciting and diverse retailers, SouthCoast Marketplace will create over permanent 1,000 jobs for local residents.”
