Weymouth, MA – Acella Construction Corporation, a construction management firm operating throughout Greater Boston, announced completion of an expansion project for South Coastal Animal Health in Weymouth.
The 1,500sf ground up addition to the existing animal health care facility, located at 1389 Main Street in Weymouth, includes four new examination rooms and an expanded treatment area to allow the staff at South Coastal Animal Health to treat multiple patients simultaneously.
The project encompassed a fire sprinkler retrofit into the existing building to accommodate the new overall footage, per code requirements. The facility’s parking lot was also expanded to satisfy patients’ request for additional spaces.
South Coastal Animal Health remained open and operational throughout the entire construction process, thanks to Acella Construction’s experience and skill with working in occupied environments.
Medcom Architectural Group, LLC headquartered in Bourne, served as architect for the $800,000 construction project. Merrill Associates, Inc. of Plymouth was the civil engineering firm of record and Griffith & Vary, Inc. of Wareham provided consulting engineering services.
Acella Construction Corporation also oversaw ground up construction of the facility’s original 7,900sf building in 2009.
