SMPS and Construction Institute Host Forum

Stamford, CT – The Society for Marketing Professional Services – New York, Westchester Affiliate, and the Construction Institute will host “Meet the Mayors,” a forum discussing the resurgence of urban centers.

Wednesday, September 24, 2014, 8am – 11am – University of Connecticut, in the General Re Auditorium, One University Place, Stamford.

Urban Centers in many major metropolitan areas are experiencing a resurgence in business and residential developments including new construction and population growth.

Join Fairfield and Westchester County mayors: Bill Finch of Bridgeport, Noam Bramson of New Rochelle, Harry Rilling of Norwalk, David Martin of Stamford, and Thomas Roach of White Plains will discuss what they are doing to attract and retain businesses, industry, developers and an educated workforce to their cities.

“Twenty years ago, Connecticut’s downtowns were places where you worked but didn’t live. Today, 10,000 young people live in downtown Stamford. Millennium fad or long term transformational trend?” says Joe McGee, VP of The Business Council of Fairfield County and the forum’s

Moderator.
