SLAM Team Member Appointed

Ross Spiegel

Glastonbury, CT – Ross Spiegel, specifications coordinator for The S/L/A/M Collaborative, was recently appointed a member of the Specification Content and User Experience Advisory Committee, joining top industry professionals from diverse disciplines in a groundbreaking new review program launched by Building System Design, Inc. (BSD).

The committee was created to enhance BSD’s long-standing review system and further improve the quality of both existing and expanded SpecLink content, along with the user experience.

Spiegel has been appointed to the main steering committee, which is made up of 20 A/E/C/O professionals, including specification experts, architects, engineers, construction professionals, and facility owners.

The committee will meet quarterly to review and improve SpecLink’s specifications. The committee will consider content structure, accuracy, relevancy, and currency, with a particular focus on Division 01, healthcare, and sustainability sections.

BSD also will be forming a series of key focus groups to provide an avenue for input to the committee. The focus groups will provide feedback and advice about specific areas of interest within specifications, and may address a particular design discipline, building type, specification division or specialty. In addition to the main steering committee, industry experts within specific fields will be consulted for these focused efforts.
