Boston – Steffian Bradley Architects (SBA) recently announced that Alberto Salvatore, AIA, NCARB,
EDAC, has joined the firm as a principal and lead healthcare expert.
He brings over 35 years of experience in healthcare functional programming, master planning, department planning, and overall architectural design. He has successfully led teams nationally and internationally on projects large and small.
Salvatore has maintained a very energetic commitment to healthcare design through his involvement with the Center for Healthcare Design’s Environmental Standards Council, Leadership in the Development of
the Evidence Base Design Process and Examination, and his participation in updating the Guidelines for Design and Construction of Healthcare Facilities with the Facilities Guidelines Institute.
His work in this area has focused on creating a heightened awareness of the physical environments positive effects on well-being. Through his efforts with these agencies significant modifications have been incorporated in regulation that can positively affect the patient experience in a healthcare environment.
