Boston- The Boston Society of Landscape Architects (BSLA) announced that the 2019 BSLA Conference will take place on Wednesday, May 22, 2019. It will be hosted at Northeastern University College of Arts, Media and Design, School of Architecture, and co-sponsored by the Dukakis Center for Urban and Regional Policy.
The conference will focus on educational sessions, networking, and interdisciplinary learning. It is an all-day event that will feature a lively mix of site tours and professional workshops, speakers and discussions – in all, 15-20 sessions total. All sessions will be submitted for LA CES and AIA continuing education credits.
The conference day will conclude with the 2019 BSLA Design Awards Gala, held that same evening, also at Northeastern University.
Sponsors are very much needed, and will be celebrated with multiple opportunities to share work and connect with the industry. Contact [email protected] for info.
Until March 31, BSLA is accepting proposals for workshops and site tours. Click HERE to submit. BSLA is seeking excellence and thought leadership, and proposals that reflect and extend the diversity of landscape architecture ideas, people, and practice.
Panels and workshops that involve speakers and themes from multiple perspectives, backgrounds, and sectors are encouraged. Any and all are invited to submit proposals – emerging as well as established professionals, community and municipal partners as well as colleagues from other disciplines and from places well beyond Boston.
The conference will generally organize sessions into the overall categories of plants and horticulture; urban design & planning; site-specific design; social impact; and the business of practice.
