Ribbon Cutting Held for NH Affordable Housing

Hudson, NH – Dakota Partners hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on Sept. 19 to celebrate the grand opening of Friars Court at 6 Dakota Drive in Hudson.

Located in New Hampshire’s largest county where affordable housing is scarce, Friars Court represents the first and only family-affordable housing community in Hudson.

The speakers at the ribbon cutting included Roberto Arista, principal, Dakota Partners; Brian Groth, Hudson Town Planner; Kara Roy, chairperson, Town of Hudson board of selectmen; Robert Dapice, executive director/CEO, New Hampshire Housing; Nate Bondini, VP – senior loan officer, TD Bank; Robert Charest, SVP equity production, Boston Financial; Jeremy Vieira, Dakota Partners; and Sean Donnelly, Dakota Partners.

The new development is nestled on an 11-acre site just a mile from Hudson’s busy central business district and within walking distance of grocery stores, banks, retail stores, post offices, and pharmacies. It features direct access to State Route 3A and access to public transportation and downtown Nashua’s shopping and entertainment area.

Phase 1 of Friars Court was designed to Certified Passive House standards to ensure high-energy efficiency throughout the year. Friars Court is made up of two separate buildings, the first of which features 47 units. Phase 2 was recently completed, bringing an additional 34 units in another residential building and a community building. Each of the residential buildings has a mix of one- and two-bedroom units.
