Ribbon Cut for New Tufts Library

Weymouth, MA – CTA Construction Managers recently joined the town of Weymouth officials and other community leaders at the formal ribbon cutting for the new Tufts Library, a 50,000sf facility located on Broad Street in Weymouth.

The new library features a greatly expanded children’s literature department, several community meeting rooms, innovative technological advancements, and an outdoor amphitheater. In addition, the building features a large lobby with a cafe for patrons, a digital media lab with updated computer software and space designated specifically for teen activities.

CTA Construction worked closely with the city of Weymouth, project architect Tappe Architects, Inc. and the owner’s project manager, Hill International, on the Tufts Library project. It was a cooperative venture between the town of Weymouth and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, which awarded Weymouth over $12 million for the construction of a new library.
