Beverly, MA – Local dignitaries and Endicott College president Dr. Richard E. Wylie joined Ray Bourque, his family, and former Bruins players to celebrate the groundbreaking for the New Endicott College Ice Arena to be named in his honor  on July 29, 2014.

“When we began speaking with Ray about the naming of the arena in his honor, our thought was that we wanted to inspire our youth, our students, and our community to emulate the qualities that he has as an athlete and as a man,” said President Dr. Richard E. Wylie. “In true Bourque fashion, he was most appreciative about being honored but far more interested about what impact this would have on the kids and the community.”

The ice arena will be built by Windover Construction,  which has been renovating Endicott College campus buildings over the last six years.
