Property Management Firm Gives Back

Boston – Over 30 Gables Residential associates recently spent a day away from the office and joined forces to make a difference at a local Boston city school.  “Gables Day” brought together Boston associates from Gables Residential, a firm specializing in the development and management of multifamily apartment communities, to complete important projects for the Samuel Adams Elementary School in East Boston before school began.

Gables Day has enabled volunteers to give over 123,000 hours to the communities across the 10 regions where they reside. Locally, this was the second year Gables Residential has partnered with the Samuel Adams Elementary School.

It is estimated that Gables Residential associates spent 280 working hours in one day at the school. They spent the day landscaping, planting and building a greenhouse which the educators use to teach the students about gardening. The team also painted and wrote an inspiring quote by Martin Luther King Jr. on one of the walls.

Associates also assisted with general classroom organization to help teachers prepare for the new school year.  During the last volunteer effort at the school, the team painted a mural on the blacktop and built picnic tables for outside lunches.
