Boston – Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, recently announced the promotion of more than 65 employees nationwide, including three staff members within the firm’s Boston, Massachusetts office.
The promotions coincide with Dewberry’s ongoing expansion of engineering, architectural, and consulting services throughout the Northeast region, where the firm has practiced for more than 60 years.
Peter Garvey, PE, has been promoted to vice president. He serves as the business unit manager for Dewberry’s Boston office, where he oversees in the firm’s growth in water/wastewaster, transportation, and telecommunications engineering and consulting services in the Northeast.
He works with regional, state, public, and private-sector clients to build smarter and more resilient communities with sustainable infrastructure. He is a professional engineer in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island, and is an active member of the New England Water Environment Association (NEWEA), Water Environment Federation (WEF), New England Water Works Association (NEWWA), and American Water Works Association (AWWA).
Jeff Finitz, PE, has been promoted to senior associate. He is the transportation department manager and is a professional engineer in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, and Vermont. He also holds Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) in-service bridge inspection tunnel safety inspection certifications, and is a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) and American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
Daniel Johnson, PE, has been promoted to associate. He serves as a project manager in the structural engineering department. He is a professional engineer in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, and a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC).
