Boston– BOND recently announced that Brendan O’Malley, LEED AP, has been promoted to Project Manager at the company.

Brendan is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with a degree in Civil Engineering. In his nearly eight year construction career, Brendan has worked to deliver major projects for top academic institutions, including Harvard Business School’s Tata Hall, Emerson College’s Paramount Center, and Wheaton College’s Science Center.

Brendan’s first role as Project Manager will be working with the BOND team on Boston College’s 2150 Commonwealth Avenue residence hall. Containing 500 student beds, this complex project is being constructed on a tight urban site along a major Boston thoroughfare. The structure’s façade will feature the BC campus’ signature Ashlar granite, requiring detailed quality control measures to ensure proper installation. The team is employing Lean construction practices, including pull planning and small batch execution, to optimize project value and fast-track a challenging schedule. Completion is expected by July 2015.

Brendan’s other duties as Project Manager will include supervising engineering teams, providing condition assessments, analyzing data, compiling professional engineering reports, and offering recommendations.

“Brendan is a highly competent, well organized, and collaborative worker,” said Robert Murray, BOND President. “His attention to detail, thoroughness, and accuracy make him a valuable asset to our team.”
