Torrington, CT  – Continuing a longstanding successful relationship with Charlotte Hungerford Hospital (CHH), O&G Industries completed several projects through its special projects group, beginning with the installation of new oxygen tank pads for the Hospital in 2011.

During the Summer 2012, O&G performed a complete renovation of CHH’s 500sf pharmacy including a new chemo med lab, anteroom and conference room. The $173,000 project was fully phased to allow the pharmacy, a sealed clean room environment, to operate, uninterrupted.

Following the pharmacy, O&G’s special projects group managed the phased renovation of CHH’s fourth floor inpatient surgical unit designed by Moser Pilon Nelson Architects.

The $340,000 fourth floor renovation was successfully completed in five phases paying close attention to the hospital’s infection control policies by properly containing construction dust and debris.

Upgrades throughout the floor included patient room alterations, smaller workstations, a waiting room, new medicine room, nurses lounge, caseworker work area, and a new centralized nurses station.

Led by project manager Christina Oneglia Rossi and superintendent Jim Perazzella, the fourth floor successfully wrapped up in November 2013.

A continuation of this successful relationship moved O&G”s special projects group to the fifth floor.

Currently under construction with project manager Nelson Reis and superintendent Jim Perazzella, the inpatient medical unit will undergo many of the same renovations as the fourth floor with an anticipated October 2014 completion.

To be done in seven phases, renovations will include a new central nurses station with additional workstations throughout the floor, relocation of the existing medicine room, a nurses lounge and newly renovated waiting room.
