Edison, NJ – On April 13-15, 2018, we are holding the first Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters’ (NRCC) Sisters in the Brotherhood “Leading the Way” Conference will be held , Hundreds of women carpenters will gather for a weekend of education, recognition and fellowship. Along with women carpenters, attendees will include NRCC executive board members/staff, local organizations and local/State elected officials.
Attendees will have the opportunity to go to workshops covering a range of topics such as:
- Organizing 101
- Motherhood in the Sisterhood
- Union Activism
- Social Media Training
- Becoming a Union Leader and more.
Each Local will have the opportunity to celebrate and highlight one pioneer Sister who has: been a member for over 25 years; dedicated to mentoring her fellow Sisters; a Sister who is active in her Local and in good standing.
