New England Summit Scheduled

Boston – New England-area healthcare AEC&O professionals, looking for insight on how the fast-moving changes hitting healthcare will impact their real estate, construction and planning decisions, will find a host of practicable advice at the upcoming New England Hospital, Outpatient & Life Sciences Facilities Summit, June 7, 2017, at the Starr Center in Boston.

The event, organized by SquareFootage, with support from the Health Care Institute of IFMA, brings together local and national healthcare facility experts for a single fast-fire day that, according to past attendees, takes an unbiased approach to sensitive issues.

Highlights of the Boston event include an insider’s view of the forthcoming changes in the 2018 FGI Guidelines for Hospitals and Medical Centers, presented by David Uhaze, vice chairman of the FGI Health Guidelines Revisions Committee. Dana Swenson,
Senior Vice President/Chief Facilities Officer, UMass Memorial Health Care System, and Paula Wright, Project Manager/Infection Control Unit, Massachusetts General Hospital, will present real world insight on how to implement the guidelines for both hospitals and outpatient care facilities.

Additional topics include a roundtable presentation on how to remove the silos between real estate, design and construction to reduce needless changes, delays and added costs.

Mike Hargrave, principal of Revista, the nation’s biggest supplier of medical building data, will be on-hand with an overview of sales and leasing trends, with support from local real estate specialists.
