ProGroup Contracting team hands out gift bags to Hathaway Elementary students
New Bedford, MA – ProGroup Contracting spread joy this holiday season with charitable acts around New Bedford.
The local business teamed up with radio station FUN 107 and the United Way of Greater New Bedford to partake in their Holiday Wish Campaign. This annual campaign chooses Southcoast families in need, providing them with a holiday wish of their choice.
ProGroup surprised one of this year’s recipients, Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech student Marco, with gifts to make the season brighter during some trying times. Marco, who lost his mother in early 2018, said he and his father have had trouble making ends meet, often struggling to put food on the table. ProGroup surprised Marco with an iPad, a Bluetooth speaker, and gift cards for food, gas and clothes.
Last month the ProGroup Contracting team also chose a deserving school to “adopt” for the holiday season. ProGroup chose Hathaway Elementary School in New Bedford to give its 300 students gift bags complete with winter hats, gloves, games, coloring books and more.
This is ProGroup’s sixth year of bringing a bit more joy to local classrooms. They will continue to keep their annual school adoption and partnership with FUN 107 alive in the years to come.
