NECA Boston to Conduct BIM Workshops

Boston – NECA Boston will hold a Fundamentals of Building Information Modeling (BIM) & Revit MEP Essentials Workshop at the Greater Boston JATC Electrical Industry Training Center in Dorchester on September 13 and 14. During this workshop, NECA members will use the tools for parametric engineering design and documentation within Revit MEP. The workshop begins teaching the fundamental features and then progresses through schematic design, system analysis, construction documentation, and design visualization. An advanced BIM workshop will be held November 21 and 22.

NECA Boston and IBEW Local 103 will conduct a five-night Electrical Project Supervision Foreman Training program each Thursday night, September 7 through October 5, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The educational series, to be taught by Principal Course Instructor Wayne DelPico of Wentworth Institute of Technology, is designed to provide new foremen with knowledge and skills they need to cover a broad range of issues faced on the job. Instruction will also include presentations from expert guest presenters. 

Attendees will earn 1.2 CEU Certificate in “NECA/IBEW Introduction to Project Supervision” from Wentworth Institute of Technology.
