Chuck Vaciliou

Burlington, MA –  Erland Construction announced the launch of a new collaborative lab and cGMP-focused service geared towards life science clients.

The industry’s increasing demand for flexible lab and support space prompted the firm to formalize this model, according to Chuck Vaciliou, Erland senior vice president and advanced technology/life sciences group manager.

The new service provides turnkey solutions to complex building requirements and sets a project up for success by learning a client’s current and future needs and procuring the people and the products to make it happen. CoLab Solutions is led by Gregg Conboy, lab development manager, and Jay Sturdivant, project executive. The pair collectively have over 60 years of experience in the construction industry and are currently spearheading the construction efforts for both the EMD Serono and Boylston Properties projects.

Erland Construction has built life science facilities since its founding.  Two of its most recent and notable projects include a 149,000sf office and lab building for biopharmaceutical firm EMD Serono and a 9-story office and lab building for Boston-based real estate developer, Boylston Properties. Construction for both projects combined totals over $122 million.
