MFA Chooses GC for Daily Life in Ancient Greece Gallery

Boston – Wise Construction has been selected by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA), for the Daily Life in Ancient Greece gallery renovation, which, when completed, will open to the existing Michael C. Ruettgers Gallery for Ancient Coins to the east. The gallery will display art depicting family and civic life in ancient Greece, including more than 200 recently conserved objects. Renovations will include new architectural wall and ceiling finishes, exhibit casework, new mechanical systems distribution, life-safety, electrical, tel-data, and security systems. The architect for the project is Ann Beha Architects.

Focusing on highly-technical work throughout the Greater Boston area, Wise Construction leads the industry in occupied space renovations. The company’s 30+ years of experience working around sensitive areas set Wise apart, and will allow the team to perform the renovation with zero interruptions to the Museum. The gallery is scheduled to open by December 2017.

President John Wise said, “Wise has had a 20+ year relationship with the MFA that we’re extremely grateful for. They recognize that our team knows how to work around the occupied museum with zero disturbances. This project in particular encompasses what we excel at as a company – tight timelines, logistical challenges, and highly-sensitive, occupied, spaces.”
