Whitinsville, MA – MassDevelopment has provided a $100,000 TechDollars loan to the Whitin Community Center (WCC) in Whitinsville, which will use loan proceeds to update its computer hardware and software systems; enhance its financial and general ledger accounting system; add online registration and payment processing; and upgrade its membership and volunteer tracking systems.

The Whitin Community Center is a private nonprofit that was founded in 1922 by the Whitin family. The WCC serves more than 5,000 members, from preschool children to active seniors, through a variety of health and wellness, recreational, social, and family-based programs, services, and events. The WCC offers both member-based and community programming at low or no cost to those who use its services.
