Scarborough, ME – Landry/French Construction Company is nearing completion on Ridgeland Gardens, a new 44-unit senior housing project located in South Portland next to Ridgeland Estates.
The $7 million project was designed by Archetype Architects in Portland.
Owned and operated by the South Portland Housing Authority, the new four-story building will provide housing for individuals 55 and older in one-bedroom apartments. Common areas include a community room, exercise room, storage space, and outdoor patio area for residents. The facility also contains five ADA-compliant units with additional units that can be easily converted for future use. Four of the second floor units include private patios.
Construction began last October and is expected to be completed in August.
