Landry/French CM for New Wells Public Safety Building

Scarborough, Maine –   Landry/French Construction has been selected as construction manager for a new public safety building in Wells.

Rendering of combined police and fire station

The new 40,000sf combined police and fire station will be located at the intersection of Route 1 and Route 109, and will replace the outdated and cramped 1960’s building that was constructed for use as a town hall.

The architect is LaVallee Brensinger Architects.

The new building will provide better access and services, state-of-the-art dispatch facilities and code-compliant and energy-efficient facilities. A new 5,300sf fire substation will also be constructed on Sanford Road in Wells to consolidate the Central, High Pine, and Wells Beach fire stations.

Construction is anticipated to begin in April 2018.
