Bedford, NH – A ceremonial groundbreaking celebration was held on Thursday, June 18 at the future site of the River’s Edge Apartments in Laconia, N.H. After months of collaboration with developers and designers, Eckman Construction will soon begin building a new 41,000sf, multifamily housing complex containing 32 apartment units on Union Avenue. Developed by the Laconia Area Community Land Trust, the new apartment building will transform an abandoned downtown site into a beautiful, vibrant riverside living community.

“This is a great project for the Laconia Area Community Land Trust and the city of Laconia,” said Preston Hunter, vice president, Eckman Construction. “We are excited to deliver a brand new housing option for the residents of Laconia to enjoy in such a unique location with the river serving as a backdrop.”
