Salem, MA – Jones Architecture announced it has been selected for three new projects.
For its work on a new campus master plan at Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill., Jones has teamed with U3 Advisors, a firm with extensive history working on campus edge conditions and public-private partnerships.
“We are excited to have our first project in the Midwest,” said Founder and Principal Rick Jones. “The campus is interwoven with the surrounding residential fabric and we look forward to assessing campus needs, addressing academic goals, and supporting other planning initiatives while strengthening this sense of community.”
For the City of Boston, Jones Architecture has been selected for the re-design of the east half of White Stadium in historic Franklin Park. The firm is teamed with JLG Architects, a national sports architecture firm, to support the programming and design of this world-class facility.
“We look forward to working with the City of Boston Public Facilities Department, Boston Public Schools, community members, and other partners to redevelop this site for the next century,” said Jones.
Additionally, the firm has been selected to work with the City of Boston Public Facilities Department to stabilize historic properties on Long Island in Boston Harbor. Other studies and plans are in motion to reconnect this island via causeway/bridge and to re-program these buildings for new uses. Jones will be developing the construction documents and assisting with construction observation through two seasons of work on the island.
