JM Electrical Completes Automation System Installation at NEU ISEC

047Lynnfield, MA – JM Electrical Company, Inc. has substantially completed the installation of an advanced automation system at Northeastern University’s (NEU) Interdisciplinary Science & Engineering Complex (ISEC), a 220,000sf development on Columbus Avenue.

The research facility contains six stories of wet, dry, and computational labs, an auditorium, classrooms, and a cafe. Designed by Payette and built by Suffolk Construction, the ISEC will also be LEED certified and operationally efficient. The development was built in an effort to fulfill NEU’s aspirations of growing as a research university.

071JM Electrical began project operations at ISEC in April of last year, and the research center is now just about up and running for NEU’s staff faculty and researchers. Mike Kemp, the foreman on the project, oversaw up to eight electricians on the construction and day-to-day operations to ensure the project’s on-schedule completion.
