JCJ Adds Cushman

Hannah Cushman

Boston – JCJ Architecture recently added interior designer Hannah Cushman, who has earned accreditation through the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI).

By educating its design teams through the WELL Accredited Professional program, JCJ is ensuring its clients in all industries from coast to coast have access to these insights and best practices.

“The WELL Building Standard brings together best practices in design with evidence-based health and wellness strategies, crafting a holistic approach that puts well-being and sustainable design at the forefront of our industry,” said Cushman.

JCJ launched its WELL-Environment Strategies Team in 2015 and has since focused on implementing the WELL Building Standard®, the first protocol of its kind to focus on the health and wellness of occupants within the built environment, across its practice areas. This standard identifies specific design strategies, performance targets, and operational policies that can enhance health and well-being when holistically integrated into building architecture and design.

“The WELL building movement shows no signs of slowing down, as building owners increasingly express interest in these principles of well-being,” added Alexandra Lopatynsky, AIA, Provisional WELL AP, Principal and Hospitality Market Sector Leader at JCJ Architecture. “At JCJ, we are prepared to respond with talented and passionate design professionals like Hannah who have embraced the mission to support human sustainability.”
