Boston – Integrated Interiors, a commercial architectural/engineering products and construction services company, recently announced that it has installed the first fully integrated Haworth solution in the Northeast market at the Cambridge, Mass. headquarters of Akamai Technologies.

Working with the design-build team, Integrated Interiors provided installation and coordination supervision for 34,000sf of raised flooring, underfloor modular power, movable walls, and furniture components for Akamai’s office expansion. Close coordination between the construction firm StructureTone and Integrated Interiors was critical and allowed the team to quickly and adeptly accommodate a significant program change in the number of larger office spaces required for Akamai executives.  The change was managed effectively with zero impact to the project schedule.

“We were very impressed with the service and attention we received from Integrated Interiors as they coordinated implementation of the architectural/engineered products throughout the project,” said Brian Murray, senior director of global facilities at Akamai. “The day before the wall product was delivered we had to revamp space to accommodate larger office spaces. Integrated Interiors responded immediately and reconfigured the space on short notice, allowing the project to move forward.”

“We were looking for a completely integrated solution that provided value and efficiency. The Haworth solution provided by Integrated Interiors provided the ease of limited vendors to coordinate and manage the installation. The value of having a bundled solution was extremely cost-effective and the team was very knowledgeable and responsive,” said Rhonda Thomas, LEED AP ID+C, senior project manager at Diversified Project Management.
