Bridgewater, MA – Callahan Construction Managers announced that Joe Horrigan has joined the firm as project executive after serving in various project management capacities for over 15 years at AvalonBay Communities, Inc.

As project executive, Horrigan will be responsible for entire project teams while also communicating with team members about issues and procedures.

He will ensure strong communication with the clients, determining the projects’ overall objectives while directing the means and methods needed to bring the project in on time, within budget and to client satisfaction.

At AvalonBay Communities, Inc., he served in various project management capacities.

“My professional experience is almost exclusively in multifamily residential development, so Callahan was an easy choice for me to start the next chapter of my career,” stated Horrigan.

Most recently, he served as director of construction at Avalon’s North Station, Sudbury, Norwood and Saugus properties. He oversaw more than 3,100 apartment homes in various garden, mid-rise and high-rise developments, and has overseen parking garage, waste water treatment facilities, mixed-use retail, and transit-oriented developments.

“Joining Callahan provides me the opportunity to bring my expertise to a new team that already has a large footprint in the multifamily market but also offers the opportunity for involvement in projects in a variety of other sectors as well,” said Horrigan.

“With Joe’s extensive experience in multifamily residential development and our past experiences working directly with him on the client’s side of the table, we knew that he would be a great addition to the Callahan team,” stated Pat Callahan, president at Callahan Construction Managers. “We know that Joe will be an asset in helping us effectively manage our continued growth.”
