GZA Joe GalleyFairfield, NJ – GZA GeoEnvironmental recently announced that Joseph M. Galley, CHMM, LSRP, has joined the firm’s Northern New Jersey office in Fairfield as a Senior Project Manager.

Galley has been an environmental professional in New Jersey for more than 30 years.  He began his career with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, ultimately rising to Assistant Bureau Chief, where he was instrumental in the development and implementation of the Environmental Cleanup Responsibility Act (ECRA). Galley then became an environmental consultant, owning his own full-service firm in Northern New Jersey for many years.  His strong regulatory and management background, as well as experience in regulatory compliance, hazardous materials consulting, and environmental investigations and remediation in New Jersey will be a terrific complement to the GZA’s existing abilities.

A resident of Sparta, Galley’s community service activities have included long-time participation with the Boy Scouts of America, more than 10 years of service to the Sparta High School Project Graduation committee, coaching youth soccer, and serving as Chairman of the Sparta Township Recreation Advisory Committee.
