Froling Energy Holds Biomass Technology Conference

Boiler room tour of Filtrine

Keene, NH – Froling Energy, a New Hampshire based mechanical contractor focused on biomass boiler systems, welcomed dozens of mechanical engineers from all over the Northeast to participate in a conference focused on state-of-the-art biomass boiler system technology.

Participants and presenters came from as far away as Scotland and Switzerland to connect with colleagues and hear about the latest in biomass boilers, material handling equipment, and fuels.

“Biomass is a very important sustainable energy industry for New Hampshire, so it is terrific to see professional engineers from all over come to our state to learn about cutting-edge technology in biomass,” said Michael Behrmann, director of the New Hampshire Clean Tech Council. “These events are greatly needed in any industry, and Froling Energy is clearly taking the lead in making sure the New Hampshire biomass industry is at the top of its game.”

“Our intention for holding the conference was to educate mechanical engineers so they can more comfortably discuss the biomass boiler option with their clients,” said Jim Van Valkenburgh, VP Business Development & Sales for Froling Energy. “Biomass is ready for prime time, especially in the heavily wooded regions of New England that have no access to natural gas. Our many successful and highly cost-effective projects have proved this.”

“The goal of this conference was to get detailed information about these successes into the hands of designers and specifying engineers. The many presentations were well received, and discussions were quite lively.” he adds.
Harold Turner, President/CEO of The HL Turner Group Inc of Concord, NH commented, “These conferences are terrific for the biomass industry: Bringing top professionals together to trade ideas, catch up on what’s new for equipment and fuel resources, and spend some time discussing where the market is headed.” Turner Group has extensive experience providing engineering services for the biomass industry.”
