EYP To Design Renovations at UNH

Durham, NH – The University of New Hampshire, Durham (UNH) recently selected EYP to design the renovation of Parsons Hall, which houses the university’s chemistry department.
The firm will provide major renovation design services to update 120,000sf of the 146,224gsf, 1960s academic building.

EYP’s role will include upgrading complex engineering systems and an interior renovation to state-of-the-art teaching and research chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering and material science laboratories, classrooms, and office spaces, as well as the University’s Instrumentation Center.

Additionally, the firm will work closely with the University and Construction Manager Gilbane Building Company to identify swing space options and ensure proper project phasing. To assist with multidisciplinary coordination, cost estimating, phasing and sequencing of the work, the design team is implementing the project in BIM.
