Join us for an in-depth look at specifying building materials. We will talk about the Living Building Challenge Materials Petal, including the red list, embodied carbon footprint, responsible industry, living economy sourcing, and net positive waste. Adam will take a deep dive into the Building Product Disclosure and Optimization (BPDO) and Low-Emitting Materials credits in LEED v4 BD+C. Learn why transparency matters, how VOC emissions affect indoor air quality, and what to expect in LEED v4.1. Larry will share a few insights of how designers, owners, and institutions are starting to make headway in changing how they prioritize what is important with respect to eliminating toxic ingredients of products and how they ultimately choose materials for their spaces.
