Eckman Completes Sr. Living Community

Salem Woods

Salem, NH – The Residence at Salem Woods is a new senior living community located in Salem and built by Eckman Construction of Bedford. In a region with a growing elderly population, this new facility helps satisfy the area’s need for senior living options and provides seniors in the Merrimack Valley with excellent accommodations, amenities, and care.

Developed by Norwood, Mass.-based LCB Senior Living, The Residence at Salem Woods is an 84-unit senior living community that includes a mix of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. The 77,000sf facility also contains a Reflections Memory Care wing that offers specialized services for residents with early stage Alzheimer’s disease and other memory impairments. The Reflections Memory Care Unit benefits from collaboration with Brigham & Women’s Hospital, McLean Hospital, and Harvard Medical School.

Amenities include living rooms, a library, computer room, private dining spaces, entertainment and recreation areas, a salon, a bistro, walking paths, sitting areas, and gardens available for residents and guests to enjoy.

Situated in a quiet wooded area, The Residence at Salem Woods provides its residents with a multitude of activities and outstanding dining selections. The sophisticated design of the new senior living community was developed by The Architectural Team of Chelsea, Mass.

In addition to The Residence at Salem Woods, Eckman Construction is currently working with LCB Senior Living and The Architectural Team on a new senior living community in Dover, N.H. named The Residence at Silver Square. The 68,000sf, 76-apartment community provides similar amenities to The Residence at Salem Woods and will provide the N.H. seacoast with an exciting new community for local seniors to call their home. This project is currently under construction and represents the first phase of a much larger development at Silver Square. The new senior living community is expected to be completed in late 2017.
